79彩票注册网址Matt Moog has handed over the reins of PowerReviews to Mark Dillon, who joined the software company a year ago as head of sales.

Moog, who founded the company in 2006 as Viewpoints Network, says he’s going to launch a venture studio, investing in and launching startups.

PowerReviews, which helps companies manage customer reviews, was No. 10 on Crain’s Fast 50 last year with 2018 revenue of $25 million. Its growth was turbocharged by the acquisition of PowerReviews, a San Francisco-based company that was the industry’s No. 2 player.

Moog bought PowerReviews after a previous acquisition by BazaarVoice, the industry’s dominant company, failed to pass antitrust review.

Moog was a co-founder of FireStarter Fund, a Chicago-based angel investment fund. He previously ran CoolSavings, a dot-com coupon business.

“I founded (PowerReviews) almost 14 years ago, and I was looking for an opportunity to get back into earlier-stage work, investing, mentoring, advising entrepreneurs,” Moog said.
